Blackmoor History

Clan Blackmoor was founded by His Grace Duke Inman early in the history of Ansteorra as a warrior household. Many came and went but in the golden age of the Clan there were six Squires. These were Seamus of the Cats (Now KSCA and Duke), Hildebrand Von Tiel (Now KSCA), Ian Mac Baird (Now KSCA), Arthur of the Fen (Now KSCA and Founding Baron of Elfsea), Cameranus (Now KSCA), and Jonathan Mac Naughton (Now KSCA). The house was also graced by many fair ladies who accompanied their Lords or were themselves Blackmoor warriors.
As time passed the Blackmoor contingent became a force to be reckoned with and was highly sought after for both tournament and war. Yet all things change over time. One by one the Squires received their spurs and went off to fulfill their individual quests as new Knights. As is the case with many such things, Clan Blackmoor faded from the forefront as the individual Knights began to form their own houses. Although many students still pass through His Grace’s hall and training grounds, the house was dissolved some years ago as His Grace and the Duchess Athena went into semi-retirement, focusing on the Armoury they had established.
Clan Blackmoor, as it is now, is actually a second generation household. The Clan was resurrected by Sir Ian Mac Baird in the twenty-fifth year of the Kingdom of Ansteorra. Holding to the high standards set forth by His Grace Duke Inman, the Clan strives to serve the same purpose as its predecessor…to train the best fighters possible while promoting Bardcraft and the Arts and Sciences.
